The benefits of Creatine and your diet

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Creatine can rebuild APT. This is technically called triphosphate and it is a chemical in the body that powers your muscles. When you are lifting, ATP will help your muscles contract. With each contraction the amount of ATP in your system will decrease until you are full of it to the point where you cannot longer lift. The only way to replenish ATP in your muscles is with creatine.

Creatine will increase your ability to store glycogen. Your muscles use glycogen to fuel the anabolic process. You need to have an adequate amount of glycogen to help your muscles recover after an intense workout. By doing this, your muscles will grow bigger and faster as well.

You can use creatine supplements if you are not getting enough in your diet. Creatine is usually fount in red meats, like steak, so that vegetarians or anyone who does not eat a lot of creatine filled foods may benefit from the use of these supplements. Glycogen, a carb is often achieved by carb-loading (like pasta) so taking creatine supplements will mean that you have to do less of this as well.

Creatine increases cardiovascular activity. When you take creatine supplements, you will most likely notice the effects of drugs in your anabolic workout. It can be a positive effect in your cardiovascular exercise routine as well. Creatine does help every bodybuilder to increase the amount of aerobic activity that you can do before getting winded so that you will be able to exercise longer and give it your all.

Recognizing The Symptoms of Acid Reflux

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Acid reflux is a disease that affects many folks on a daily basis. The majority will just try to live with it while others wind up taking different medications that often have little or no effect on their condition. That heavy burning sensation in the throat and chest can make anybody feel less than their best. Many simply put up with with acid reflux disease symptoms, and often suffer in silence for many years, thinking that they only have heartburn or indigestion. Furthermore, they have little idea why they are suffering or even if they have a problem at all. Acid reflux is in fact one of the bodies normal processes and to that end, everybody has it. The stomach is filled with liquid that aids the digestive process. During digestion, small amounts of this liquid, called hydrochloric acid or HCL, is pushed back up into the gullet. As well as acid, the liquid also contains Pepsin and a small quantity of bile. In many cases, the reflux causes no harm. However, if there is any damage to the oesophageal tissue the acid can begin eroding the lining further which can lead to irritation and pain. Many things affect how much acid the stomach produces. Other factors such as smoking, weight and saliva production can have a tremendous impact on the reflux of liquids.

Carpal tunnel surgery

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

It happens slowly: first your wrists ache. Then you notice your fingers stiffen, your wrists get worse and become immobile, and then you wake with numb hands. Some days you wake up feeling as if your hands are on fire, while on other days they are stiff and sensitive to touch, and the pain won’t go away. Your doctor bends your wrist forward one day after you’ve complained of the pain, taps a spot on the outside angle, and when you tell him that it made your fingers tingle, confirms his suspicion: you have carpal tunnel syndrome.

Doctors usually recommend carpal tunnel surgery to correct this painful problem, caused when the carpal tunnel, an open space between the carpal bones in your hand through which the median nerve and finger tendons run, becomes compressed due to inflammation or injury. The pressure damages the nerve and causes the tendons to become stiff and difficult to move, and hand motion only makes things worse. Braces are often used in an attempt to treat the problem. But these are a temporary measure at best, and in severe cases carpal tunnel surgery is the only way doctors know to release the pressure in your hand.

When I look at the amateur golfers who play in all weathers I wish they would be sensible with there health and at least put on some golf waterproofs, I think the best option is the any product with Gore Tex Galvin Green use this fabric and I know that they have got it just right. Year after year they hit the nail on the head and produce some of the best equipment on the market.
I work in a golf shop and you get a good feel for how good a product is and day in and day out you see more and more golfers turning to their products as they consistantly make quality and usable gear.
All in all it is a personal choice and it is up to the individual to decide what is best for them but I think you know were I stand and I think the annual sales speak volumes for my thoughts.

Time To Do Stomach Exercises?

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Early To Bed, Early To Rise And Do Exercise

First thing in the morning is another good time to do stomach exercises. Try rolling out of bed, maybe literally, and lie down on the floor and do as many repetitions as possible in a set amount of time, even just five minutes. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that exercising first thing in the morning may be more beneficial to a person then trying to exercise other times of the day. While there are many reasons for this, one valid reason is that it gets the metabolism going for the day after a nights sleep. Since most people are extra concerned about the appearance of their stomach, it seems logical to start the day with a good set of stomach exercise.

Stomach exercises should be included in their routine for those that are able to dedicate time each day to exercising. There are some reports that say that muscles need time to rest, so only exercise a particular group of muscles every other day, while other reports say that stomach muscles are ok to exercise everyday. One way to answer the question on when to do stomach exercises, every day or every other day is first listen to your body. If the stomach muscles are sore, rest them, if not then maybe one day work on them more intensely then the next day, but try to include at least one set of stomach exercises daily.
