Canker sores are painful open sores that develop from a variety of causes, most often involving stress and mouth trauma. Canker sore medication is really not required, since canker sores will usually go away on their own within a matter of weeks. During that time though people with canker sores experience a great deal of pain and irritation, which cannot be treated with any canker sore medicine. Even though there is no canker sore medication that can eliminate canker sores, there are herbal and homeopathic canker sore medications that can alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by canker sores. These products are sold over the counter, and are easy to find.

It is indeed a mystery why bad breath and halitosis are separate words when both are in fact describing the very same condition. Much the same issue occurs with gum disease and periodontal disease and for a very similar reason: one term is used in general conversations while the other is preferred by the medical community. Bad breath is the general term and halitosis is the word used in medical circles but there is no difference between the two. Unless the source of infection is either removed or treated, no permanent halitosis remedy is possible. While there are a number of factors that may be causing the condition, the simple fact remains that there is no need to confuse bad breath and halitosis-they are the same thing! Only by keeping the population of anaerobic bacteria low and keeping the mouth salivated will truly cure bad breath.

The most common cause of constipation is a diet low in fiber found in vegetables, fruits, and whole grains and high in fats found in cheese, eggs, and meats. People who eat plenty of high-fiber foods are less likely to become constipated, inadequate water intake or exercise, and even laxative abuse. Keep in mind that the healthiest diet to reduce the incidence of constipation is a life of vegetarianism. Make sure you get enough water in your day and exercise. Above all, do not use constipation laxatives as a constipation cure. They can end up hurting the colon and causing serious colon problems. The solution includes a good natural constipation relief product like New Colon Sweep in your diet and feel how wonderful it is to become regular, the way nature intended.

Others are able to detect that they have bad breath right under their nose when they notice a recoiling reaction from the people they speak to. Bad breath symptoms may depend on the underlying cause like the lack of good oral hygiene habits like teeth are coated with sticky film called plaque, or food debris may have been trapped between the gums and teeth. Having gum disease with red, swollen, bleeding and receding gums may also promote bad breath.

To achieve and maintain healthy gums and mouth, the necessity of saliva goes further than simply having antibacterial fighting properties. Since saliva is directly a part of the digestive process, it serves to break down food, and frequently minute food particles are lodged between teeth. Without the aid of saliva, these particles may remain in between the teeth and there have the opportunity to provide fodder for bacteria. With the saliva, however, these particles are being at least partially digested to such an extent as to permit dislodging from their dangerous locale; when the time for your next routine oral hygiene activities rolls around, these particles may already be gone.
